About Donald
If dogs held parties, Donald would certainly be the life of them.
Donald is a bundle of energy who loves to play; but when the sun goes down, he can sleep like the best of them. He also enjoys a good snore - common of his breed.
He is an excitable and boisterous boy, who has lots of energy to expend. He needs a good supply of toys to keep his curious mind stimulated or else he might head for a loose sock or two.
Donald has been working on being more comfortable with handling as he can be a little overwhelmed particularly when new people handle his feet. He will need a family that can continue building his confidence around handling, understand when he has reached his limits and not push him.
He loves going for walks, he knows how to stop and sit at the traffic lights and wait to cross. He will try and greet every dog that walks past, sometimes a little too enthusiastically, so he would do well with some further lead training and to work on ignoring other dogs when on walks. Donald likes other dogs and would be happy with a playmate, but not every dog appreciates his enthusiastic grunts when they meet.
Donald would suit a family who can take him for long walks, play ball, and run around in the yard together. He will need a patient family who is willing to give him time to open his heart and build trust. He would suit a home without any children and people that are able to commit to his ongoing training.
This scruffy and spirited boy has so much potential and is just waiting for a family to give him the time and love he deserves.
