About Russ ~ Jack Russell x Cattle (on trial 13/8/18)
Russ is a 3 month old, male, Jack Russell cross, who is so gentle but at the same time a bouncy bundle of joy, who is well socialised with other dogs.
He is a real smoocher, and loves to provide cuddles and kisses. Russ needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown.
He is a playful energetic little pup who loves to explore around outside. Therefore the yard will need to be secure and have no gaps in the fence line. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Russ will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as he would be too lonely on his own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Russ is a small and petite, will most likely be a small size dog but he is crossed with Red Cattle Dog, therefore there is a chance he could grow up to be a medium size dog.
As Russ is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet this beautiful soul, please email his foster mum Renee on renee_gordon@yahoo.com.au Russ is located in Wyee NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Morisset).
Russ' adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
