About Ruby Occleshaw
Please note: Ruby is to be rehomed with an active male dog.
Ruby Occleshaw is just discovering life can be fun. This so much better than the pen where she spent all her life on a puppy farm. She has had a few litters and thanked us so much for desexing her. She is an absolute sweetheart. She is very affectionate and adores her humans and wants to be close to them.  Â
She is happy to share her world with her foster brother who is an active pointer.  She is more settled here than with her first foster carer where she was a little bossy towards her placid male bulldog friend and pestered him to play with her.  Ruby has been learning lots of skills and has developed into the most gorgeous girl now she is no longer starved for attention. She seems to enjoy the company of larger dogs that keep up with her energy levels and just loves the doggy door. And what a smart girl â sit and doggy doors are now in her repertoire.
When you are around she is an angel, an excellent on lead walker, doesn't mind a trip in the car, extremely affectionate, not protective and responsive to her name. She is intelligent and learnt the house rules quickly, and abides by them WHEN YOU ARE THERE.
When you are not there, Ruby loves her  chance to behave like the puppy she was never allowed to be. When she gets excited playing with her foster sibling she runs out the dog door and tears around the yard, then back inside. She is always on the lookout for things to play with and chew.Â
Ruby would not suit a home with a cat.
Ruby is adorable in every way. Being given the chance to find a special family to call her very own â a family with another active male  dog - means the world to her.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adoptersâ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
