About Sage ~ Silky x Foxy (on trial 28/7/18)
This is the beautiful little Sage and she is looking for her perfect home. She is a little Silky Terrier x Foxy girl who is a happy, curious little puppy. At 9 weeks of age, Sage still weighs under 2 kilos, and will always be a little girl. She has a scruffy face and loves cuddles, playing in the backyard (she finds a piece of bark very entertaining) and nibbling on your ears!
Sage’s perfect home would be with someone who was home most of the time with no very small children, as due to her size she can be very easily hurt.
Sage would benefit from attending puppy school once she is adopted. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Sage needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Sage is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
If you are interested in adopting Sage, please fill out an adoption application https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx and forward it to her foster carer Mary on mary.glasbey@gmail.com
Sage's adoption fee is $700 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
