About Dash
Dash is a big romantic! A sweet, affectionate, giant bundle of love he absolutely adores a cuddle and belly rub. He is happiest when getting lots of love and just knowing his humans are nearby. He will fall asleep snuggled up next to you, or just hang out blocking the view of the TV even!
He is growing strong and tall and is learning the ways of the world and how to walk politely on the lead. He is very clever and is a fast learner, he will sit, wait and he is very polite at meal times, patiently waiting for his food.
Dash still has much to learn about the world and due to being scared for his safety on several occasions he looks to his human for instructions and guidance. He has been socializing with lots of different dogs since in foster care and is getting much more confident, even a little cheeky at times as his playful side comes out as soon as he understands there's nothing to fear. He is living as an only dog in his foster home and is doing well not having to compete for attention and food so we would ideally like to find him a forever home as the only pet in the house, however with proper introduction I think he would be OK with a patient female dog who can tolerate his puppy ways.
His foster Ma is confident he is becoming more confident with other dogs - so long as he isn't paired with a dominant male dog, he is fine with other dogs and loves to chase and wrestle new doggy friends.
He will grow to be quite large - we estimate that this litter would grow to be about 40kg - so please understand this before adopting. At 6mths old he is not fully grown yet and already 25kgs but with a patient and loving home where he is given clear instructions he'll be the best addition to any family
Dash is in foster care in Narangba QLD and is available for adoption now.

ADOPTION:

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
