About Andy (Sandy)
Well, what can I say about Andy! He’s a pretty cool dog. He was surrendered to a local council and is now looking for a new home.
He is searching for a new home that will allow him inside as part of the family. And another dog for company when your are not home is on his list as well. We have no idea what he is like with cats, but he has been well behaved with the kids he has met while in care.
Andy loves meeting other dogs, and would do good in a social environment like day care or the such. As he is a bit of a social butterfly.
Andy is super affectionate, and loves a cuddle :) he’s slightly too big to be a lap dog, but is happy to lie beside you and hold your hand while watching TV together.
He seems to be fairly quite while in care. He will let out the odd bark if he is playing, but he does stop quickly. But although he will shower the visitors with affection once invited in, he lets out a mean bark when people come up to the house.
Andy loves going for walks, and is generally an easy dog to walk, a daily outing would be fantastic! He also needs a home where they are happy to give him a brush a few times a week to keep his coat clean and neat. But he’s happy to be groomed and while being done regularly it only takes a few minutes, but he would let you brush him for hours.
We have no idea what breed Andy is. He’s listed as a wolfhound cross, but he is not even half as tall as a wolfhound, so his breeding is a complete guess! Is charming a breed?
Andy is now house trained, and can use a doggy door. When he first arrived he wasn’t used to being inside, so he had to learn about inside rules, which he picked up quickly. Andy will still need some ongoing training in his new home. He’s learning the basics quickly.
Please note. Andy is based in Wodonga and is only available for adoption in Victoria or Southern NSW as he will not be placed on transport for adoption.
