About Lillian ~ Staffy x puppy (On Trial 18/8/18)
Hi! They call me Lillian I’m a strong independent girl who loves to explore and get my nose dirty. I am 10 weeks old and bit of a mixture my foster mum thinks I’m mostly Staffy but with a splash of Boxer.
I love to be involved in almost everything that is happening, this can get me in trouble sometimes but that’s what being a puppy is all about I think. But I am also very sensitive and love a cuddle.
I have been living with my foster mum and family since I was 5 weeks old and I’m learning to use the toilet outside and not to chew everything but being young I really need someone who will continue my training I can’t wait to go to puppy preschool and dog training like my big foster brother he tells me it makes mum and dad really happy when he learns new stuff and how to be better behaved.
Because I’m small I need to sleep inside and can’t be alone outside there are some really scary things that could happen to me if I’m left alone for too long outside.
I’m currently living with two big dogs and a small fluffy dog I do enjoy chasing the chickens but with training I’m sure I can understand they are not fun.
My ideal house would be somewhere that has had puppies before as we can be challenging as we like to chew things and make a mess, a family that believes training is fun and important and can’t wait to go to puppy school. I will need to sleep inside at night and somewhere very safe during the day. I want to be part of your life.
I need to be allowed inside when people are home and to sleep inside. I will be great family dog and I am suitable for children 7 years and older. I will grow up to be a medium to large sized dog. You will need good fencing with no small gaps.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for me. During my wonderful time in foster care I have had constant companionship of two larger dogs and I loved it. If you don't have another dog to keep me company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
