Chai - Adopted

Look at that adorable face! chai is a 3 and ½ month old part shar pie puppy with lovely eyes to go with those tell tale wrinkles. Her foster caregiver, jo, reports not only that she is good looking but also good natured. “she is not aggressive but does demand attention” she adds, “if you ignore her she will let you know with a bark or a face nuzzle. ” but a firm, kind tone in your voice will settle her down. She is an intelligent dog and learns quickly. She will sit and wait for her food at meal time and is completely toilet trained. Jo reckons that red, her nine year old rotweiler, has had a big part in teaching her appropriate toileting etiquette and also letting her know she is not the boss. Being a puppy she often wants to play with him and they get along great but he draws the line when she approaches his food. Of course she is in that chewing stage and happily drags around her toys. She has tried her teeth on a few things around the house but has caused no damage. Her current challenge is learning appropriate behavior on a lead. She would rather chase grasshoppers which she will very proudly bring to you for an inspection. She absolutely loves to play in the sprinkler-a true water baby!

jo is confident she would make a wonderful pet for a caring family. She demonstrates she loves human company though has not had much exposure to children yet. “i’ll miss her greeting when i come home” she says “she wiggles her tail, her bum, her whole body she is so glad to see me. ” who could resist that kind of a greeting?
