About Caesar D0994 adopted 21/10/18
This sweet natured, gentle boy is Caesar. What a lovely dog he is! He absolutely loves his people and although used to be a little shy at first meeting someone new, he has now gained a lot of confidence with his carer and is no longer timid; he is affectionate with people and is a happy, cruisy dog. Caesar is all legs, so is learning about spatial awareness when indoors, but is loving spending evenings and nights inside in his foster home. After a few hiccups, he is now toilet trained (no accidents inside). Caesar is a responsive dog who listens well and so is a quick learner. He hasn't met any kids so far in care but we believe would be good with children over 8 pending a meet (may be a little big for tiny kids).
Caesar came into care very underweight but with care and the right food he has gained well and is now at his ideal weight. He does need appropriate feeding as he is an active boy who loves his daily walks as well as zoomies or a game of keepy off or tugger with his 2 doggy pals in the backyard.
OTHER DOGS/CATS
Caesar is super friendly with other dogs of all shapes and sizes; he does get a little excited when he meets another dog and he loves to play chasey with them. He is in care with 2 smaller dogs and gets on perfectly. Has not been tested around cats but we believe he would chase so possibly not the best match for a home with cats or other small pets.
ENERGY LEVEL/REQUIREMENTS IN NEW HOME
Caesar is a very fit boy and loves his daily walks. He walks well on lead after initial excitement, although needs a little reminding not to try to approach new people/dogs. He is okay when left alone for a few hours a day (with the company of dogs) when he has a juicy bone to keep him happy. We think he would really love the company of another dog in his new home. Caesar can be a bit mouthy when playing, although this is done very gently.
He is a good boy who has no aggression around food. His carer says she simply can't believe she still has Caesar with her, as he is just so awesome!
