About Pepsi
Have you been searching for a special doggy companion who reminds you to live in the moment and stop and smell the roses? If so, Pepsi may just be the one for you!
Pepsi is an absolute sweetheart with the most gorgeous eyes; weighing just 3.9kgs. She is your typical chi â yes you may pat me but really I have a lot going on in my life. Mealtimes, snuggles on the couch and being with her people are the highlights of her day. She likes going for gentle walks, stopping to sniff all the trees. This smart girl can use the doggy door, but would be best with a lightweight door as the heavy one is a bit much for this princess. She also understands the commands to sit and wait for her food.
Pepsi is quite content to spend most of her day sleeping on the dog bed near her foster carer. An ideal home will see her with someone who is around most of the time. Pepsi would also love to share her home with another doggy friend, who isnât interested in playing and is of a similar size. We have found Pepsi to be quite curious about cats and she would be fine to live with a dog friendly cat.
She is active, despite her bad arthritis. She should have had her patellas operated on when young but it would not benefit her at this stage to be done.
Pepsi is a lovely, sweet girl. All she needs is a family to complete her world.

All dogs that come into the care of Victorian Dog Rescue are tested for heart worm.

Medical notes
Because Pepsi did not have her luxating patella attended to when young, her arthritis is quite bad in her back legs. It would not achieve anything to operate at this stage.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adoptersâ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
