About Nixon ~ Mastiff x Great Dane (on trial 6/8/2018)
My name is Nixon but you can call me Mummy’s boy … or Daddy’s boy. What? I can love them both! I’m an 12 week old Mastiff x Great Dane bundle of love with devilish good looks and a cracking personality to match.
They laugh at how much of a vocal pup I am, I make funny groans when I need a cuddle and once I get them I groan to say thanks.
In my new home I will need someone there for me all the time or if that’s not possible at least most of the time with a furry friend. If you can’t provide that then it is a big deal breaker for me and my mum will agree, I can’t cope on my own. I’ve spent majority of my very short life in a pound and now that my foster family have shown me what unconditional love is I won’t settle for anything less, but I promise the love will be reciprocated x1000!
I hang out with my sister Nova, and Tank and Zuri my foster siblings during the day and I bet if they could talk they’d call me the ankle biter but I just love them sooooo much! I’ve been well associated with other dogs and would love a brother or sister who I can wrestle and make dinosaur noises with.
It’s very important my new family takes me to puppy school. I’ll be quite a solid dude when I’m older so training is a must! Please understand that I’m still only a baby and I will go through that “puppy stage” as they call it, but I’ll grow out of it nicely with training, patience and persistence (and lots of love).
I’m a very inquisitive little man, so my new yard needs to have no gaps or holes where I could possibly escape from and fences high enough so I can’t jump over once I’m fully grown into a big, strong and incredibly handsome boy. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As I am not yet desexed, I am is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
I can’t wait to find my fur-ever home!
If you think I would fit perfectly into your family and would like to meet me, please contact my foster mum Brittany via email with an adoption questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx to Brittany_wilson@live.com I am in foster care in Newcastle area , NSW.
Nixon's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
