About Bear
Bear is only young at approx 2-3 years old and this boy has had a pretty hard life. No dog at his young age should be crying out for help, but Bear is.
You see poor Bear somewhere along his young life has been severally abused. As a result he is lacking a lot of confidence and has trust issues. But honestly if we were in the same position we would to. Couple that with then having to stay in scary kennels with all these different noises, people coming and going he’s not sure he should trust it’s extremely scary. So far he has had beautiful Princess to help support him and for him to go forward he would need a dog like Princess who will take him under their wing and show him life’s not that scary and he can trust his humans. It won’t be easy, he has a bit of work ahead of him, but the bond he would build with you would be unbreakable. When you work with dogs like Bear it couldn’t be more rewarding and even the smallest of steps seem like massive inroads.
Bear just needs someone to step up and say “Hey I’ve got you”.
Because of his insecurities he is a fence jumper and would need someone who’s home a lot who can help build that trust with him and do work with him that helps him build his confidence. We can see Bear just thriving with the perfect person. He’s not destructive, is fine with other dogs his size and when you spend time with him, you can see he really wants to have comfort, just doesn’t know how to go about it or accept it.
Bear will need a home that’s quiet (no young kids), someone home a lot and preferable has a nice dog he can learn from.
Time heals all wounds Bear and your family is somewhere waiting to help you heal ❤️.

Adoption details
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue:
You will be asked to complete an adoption application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog is suited to your circumstances. Some dogs have special needs so we are looking for the perfect forever home for all of our dog's needs.
After you have completed and returned the adoption application we decide if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that bring along your family and any other animals you have in your household. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
The adoption fee must be paid before any of our animals are released from our care.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if you have any issues with your chosen dog/puppy you must contact SEQ K9 Rescue via text immediately.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the pet is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the animal. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If an animal is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue in Brisbane.
