Quiet as a mouse, and a little nervous making new friends, Maggie often goes unseen in her kennel by visitors to the shelter. With time, this delicate Greyhound girl shows a sweet and sociable nature; Maggie just needs someone special to notice her!

Maggie will need a gentle and understanding human to take her under their wing and give her the time and tools to find her feet in a new home. She can be flighty and frightened when it comes to exploring new places and meeting new faces, so a quiet and steady home where she can seek refuge will be ideal.

Contrary to popular belief, greyhounds do not need endless amounts of daily exercise; they love a long nap just as much as the next dog! Maggie will, of course, love a daily walk so that she can stretch her long elegant legs and gradually explore new sights and smells. A bit of social play in the backyard with a fun squeaky toy will also get her moving. A food motivated girl, Maggie will enjoy learning some basic skills to compliment her beautiful leash walking. As she does love to snack, a good puzzle toy or long-lasting chew treat will keep her happy and busy, especially when she is home alone. At the end of an adventure-filled day, relaxing on a comfy bed or spot on the lounge beside you is top of Maggie's agenda.

Maggie would best suit a home with no cats or pocket pets; these little furry critters may not appreciate her investigative nature. Having not met many dogs in the past, Maggie finds making canine pals overwhelming, so would prefer to be the only pooch in her new family.
