About Red ~ 1 year old Cattle Dog x
Hi, I am Red and I’m a 1 year old Cattle Dog x! I am a super affectionate and friendly boy who just loves to be with you. I love chew toys, chasing balls and playing with other dogs. If you work full time I would love to have a doggy friend who I could hang with while you are away. I currently live with a cat who I like chasing but I haven’t hurt him. Maybe it’s just not the right cat? But to be on the safe side I would rather go to a home without a cat.
I have been working on few commands including “sit” and I think I would love more training. I am very smart and food driven so with the right amount of treats we can go far I’m sure. We are still working on walking on lead but like I said, I’m a fast learner.
I have toilet training almost under control but I have had few accidents when I was very excited or scared.
I currently sleep outside but do love inside family time. I love nothing more than to jump on the lounge and cuddle next to you.
I love other doggos and all humans. I may jump up because I am so excited to see you but it’s only because I love you so might not be good with children under 5 years old. I am very smart so I am sure I can be trained out of this.
I will need good fencing and a nice size yard to play in. I only bark during the play and when people walk past my fence (I could be your guard dog!).
For more information or to meet Red, please contact his foster carer Sarah on Sarah.lennard@uon.edu.au or 0435284223. Red is in foster care in Kotara, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Red’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
