About Kodie ~ Maltese x Poodle (on trial 12/7/2018)
This is Kodie a nearly 7 year old Moodle (Maltese x Poodle). He may even have some Pekinese in him. He weighs about 9kg and is a beautiful silver grey colour. Kodie just loves to be near you and will be your shadow. He is toilet trained. Kodie loves his walks and travels beautifully in the car.
Kodie can get a little grumpy at times and be stubborn when he doesn’t feel like doing something. He gives you a look. Majority of the time he is a little gentleman. He loves being brushed but doesn’t like his face being cleaned. The groomer also indicated he didn’t like his feet being done.
Kodie would be best with a retired or semi retired person. He would make a most loving loyal companion. He loves to chase my other foster girl around the house. He is good with other dogs or he could be an only dog too. He isn’t a barker but will alert you to anything going on that is unusual.
Kodie just loves to cuddle up with you on the couch and look up at you with those bewitching eyes. He sleeps beautifully at night curled up in his own bed in my bedroom.
Kodie is mostly chilled and laid back and adjusted well to my lifestyle and routine.
Kodie is definitely an inside dog. Kodie is a little overweight, he could probably lose about 2 kgs. A little less food and more exercise will fix that.
He is very obedient and the sooky look in his eyes will melt your heart.
This little boy just wants to be loved and needed and in return you will have a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally.
For more information or to meet Kodie, please contact his foster carer Kay on kaystarr1@hotmail.com Kodie is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Kodie’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
