About Mickey ~ Miniature Collie x Foxy (on trial 14/7/1)
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Say hello to the GORGEOUS Mickey! Mickey is a very handsome 9 month old Mini Collie x Foxy, and is very much still a puppy! This little boy is so happy and so playful, and wants nothing more than to be showered with love and attention!
Mickey’s foster dad has given him the nickname ‘Mr Curiosity’, and loves to run around the backyard with him, as he is a bundle of energy. His foster mum loves when he settles down in the evening on the lounge for snuggles and movies.
Mickey is very polite and will not jump on furniture unless invited. Mickey has unfortunately not received much training, so will need parents that are willing to patiently work with him while he learns. He will need a lot of exercise and stimulation, and will be best suited to a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time, as he gets bored fairly easily.
Mickey gets along with other dogs fantastically, but would need companions the same size or a bit larger than he is, as his playfulness can be overwhelming for smaller dogs. Mickey would be best with kids over 10 for the same reason. Mickey is toilet trained, though will sometimes mark inside so needs a little more training here as well. He is a fantastic sleeper who will curl up in the corner of your room and not make a peep until morning.
Mickey is currently located in Newcastle with his foster carer and is available for adoption interstate. If you would like to meet him, please email an application through to his foster mum Meg on bubble_pop_elektric@hotmail.com
Mickey’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
