About Chief
Chief is an energetic, fun loving Kelpie x with a beautiful nature and a heart of gold. Here at Chihuahua Rescue Qld, there are times when a dog's need comes before a dogs breed, so when Chief needed our help, we were happy to welcome him into our family.
Chief is social with other dogs. He loves to play rough and he is currently living with a number of Border Collies and a Labrador. Chief has shown no interest in the cats he has met.
If you want a running buddy, Chief is your man, he would love an adventurous active home, we would dearly love to find this boy the home he dreams of with lots of space to run, another active dog to play with and most of all a family who will appreciate this lovely boy.
Chief has had his Adoption Fee reduced, we would love to find him his forever home.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Chief has a bit of hair loss on his nose, which we originally thought was from being in the pound for almost two months. It hasn't resolved since being out of the pound, so skin scrapings were done and showed nothing significant. We are now using an anti-fungal wash on the area to rule out a fungal infection. It doesn't seem to bother him at all.
