About Izzy (on adoption trial)
This is IZZY a beautiful girl with affectionate nature who loves the company of her people. Izzy is an extremely gentle dog, she wants nothing more than to be with her people. She loves sitting at your feet while you have a coffee and snuggling on the sofa in the evening.
Izzy has just come into foster care from the pound and she is still learning what play is. But if it means being with you she is happy to chase a balls (as long as you do too).
Izzy has some obedience training and walks well on leash. Izzy has met cats in her foster home and isn't worried by them. In fact, she is happily learning how to be friends with the resident cat :) She isn't sure how to make friends with other dogs yet, but is non-reactive unless the dog jumps all over her.
Izzy is looking for a loving home where she will be part of the family living as an inside/outside dog, sleeping indoors at night. She'd like her new family to give her daily walks and playtime, and continue her socialization and give her the guidance so that she reaches her full potential as a loving and loyal family pet.
Izzy is 5 years old and is a Staffy mix. She has the beautiful staffy face and smile, and we think there may be some Fox Terrier in her mix. She is only a smallish dog, weighing no more than 10kg.
She will be a great cuddle buddy and best friend for anyone who will love and spend time with her.
Izzy is currently in care in Queanbeyan, NSW We can assist with organizing transport to the right home. All our dogs have a two week trial period in their new home.
Medical notes
Her ideal forever home would be with a family (she is great with small kids) or someone who will be home lots. She loves just being near people.
She doesn’t bark at all, sits, comes when asked and sleeps in a crate (a little reluctantly but good once in crate).
