About Patch ~ Cattle Dog x (on trial 8/7/2018)
This sweet 7 year old Cattle Dog x is Patch. Patch is a very relaxed dog who loves pats and being by your side. Being an older boy he is low energy and will happily spend the day pottering about in the yard or lounging in his bed. Patch is human oriented and will be your most loyal companion. Every person Patch meets is greeted with a big smile and a uncontrollable tail wag.
Patch currently sleeps in his kennel or in a basket just near the door so he can be close to his humans but would love the opportunity to be inside. He enjoys an occasional walk but is just as happy curling up near his humans feet for pats. He is not a nuisance barker or a digger. Patch is already well trained and knows how to sit, stay and wait.
Patches ideal home would be with a single or couple. He would also make a very loving family dog. Patch would be best suited as an only dog as he isn't too concerned with them and is used to being on his own. We believe before he ended up in the pound that he was someones special companion. Patch is friendly with dogs and would be easy to socialise if needed. He hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Patch will need secure fencing while he gets used to his new surroundings.
If you are looking for a loyal companion and interested in meeting Patch please contact Erin on 0423343044 or iverinadelle@hotmail.com Patch is in foster care in Newcastle NSW and is not available for interstate adoption.
Patch’s adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
