Hi, I’m Tamzi – it’s nice to meet you! What’s in a name you say? Well, I was named after a very special lady who does lots of work to help greyhounds in need like me. Now, I do have to tell you that I have a touch of arthritis* in my back legs but the good folk at Greyhound Rescue have offered to pay for the ongoing treatment. I can also tell you, I’m still full of beans, love to play and I’m just a wee little bit cheeky! Now, I love being around people but if you’ve got any of those small fluffy kinds of dogs, they just get me a little bit too excited so best if you don’t have any of those.
* Tamzi has been diagnosed with arthritis in her rear hocks for which she will need to have ongoing treatment. This means Tamzi is classed as a ‘sanctuary dog’ and will have all of her vet bills covered for her arthritis treatment for the rest of her life.

Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
