About Rusty (applications closed)
Need a café companion? Company to wander the market with you? A friend to take long walks in the bush with? Meet Rusty, a 2yr old Wolfhound X. This handsome fella is about to be your new best mate.
Rusty loves nothing more than to be curled up next his humans whilst they go about their days. His favorite activities include snuggles on the couch, checking what you’re making in the kitchen and sharing a cup of tea. If he had it his way he’d drink it out of the same cup as you. Rusty dislikes being by himself and not being allowed to play with the other dogs he comes into contact with on his walks.
Before coming to foster care Rusty lived as an outside dog with his brothers so he is still learning his indoor manners. He has made good progress with his toilet training but sometimes has an accident if he gets too excited. He’d best suit a home with another dog and/or someone who is home a lot that he can bond with. Rusty hasn’t spent much time alone so he is learning to entertain himself when his humans aren’t around. He’s making good progress but would need a family who are happy to work with him on this.
Rusty has such a sweet and gentle personality. He loves the company of other dogs and has perfect doggy manners when it comes to his canine pals. He is curious about cats and doesn’t quite understand why they won’t play with him but with a gentle introduction and some training I think he could learn to live in harmony with a feline companion.
He is good with kids but because of his size he would better suit a home with older children.
Rusty has a calm, sweet and loving temperament. All this big boy wants is to please his humans. He has basic manners and can sit and wait. And with more training and some stability he will blossom into the dream dog.
Medical notes
Rusty is a happy healthy dog, who has recieved all of his vetwork- flead, microchipped, dexed, vaccinated and wormed
