About Stella ~ Mastiff x (on trial 17/7/18)
Hi my name is Stella and I’m an 11 week old Mastiff x a whole lotta cute. I love rolling around and playing chasies with my big foster brother Whiskey. When I’ve had enough playing or have a nice full belly, my favourite place is on the lounge with my foster mum.
I am learning my basic commands with my foster family, I sit for my food and my toilet training is going really well (with the occasional accident, but usually I’ll let you know when I need to go outside). But will benefit from puppy preschool once I’m in my new home - not just for obedience but for socializing and exercise too.
My ideal new family will be able to spend loads of time with me teaching me new things and understand I am still only a puppy. For the first couple of months I will need someone home full time as I get lonely and will miss you when you’re not with me, I also get hungry and will need breakfast, lunch and dinner just like you!
I currently sleep in my bed in a crate in my foster mums room. I really like my crate, it feels like a safe cosy place that I can retreat to.
Please make sure my new yard doesn’t have any gaps in the fences or small spaces because even though I will grow up to be big and strong, I’m still very small and very inquisitive.
My foster mum is taking enquiries now. She said she wants the bestest family to take care of me.
I can’t wait to meet my new family and find my fur-ever home!
If you think I would fit perfectly into your family and would like to meet me, please contact my foster mum Tahlia via email on willistahlia@gmail.com and she will send the special adoption questionnaire through. I am in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW.
As Stella is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
Stella's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
