About Katie ~ Border Collie (on trial 8/7/2018)
Katie is a 9 year old Border Collie. She is a quiet old soul and loves to smooch and have cuddles. Katie enjoys a walk and then a sleep.
Katie was recently surrendered as her dad passed away and she was separated from her siblings, so we are looking for a person or family that has lots of time and love to give.
Katie hasn't got great teeth, so small dry food and wet food seems more suitable.
Katie is good in the car and travels well. She gets along well with other dogs and is great in public places. She is well mannered, not very vocal and has a beautiful nature.
For more information or to meet Katie, please contact her foster carer Leeaa on leesasomerville@gmail.com Katie is in foster care in Belmont North, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.
Katie’s adoption fee is $250 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
