About Rupie ~ 2 year old Kelpie X (on trial 14/7/18)
This energetic girl who loves affection is looking for a new home or a foster carer. Rupie is a 2 year old Kelpie x who is excellent with children of any age so would make a great family dog. She just loves playing cricket with kids in the backyard. She will happily play all day with the kids if you let her. She also enjoys a good game of fetch.
Rupie is toilet trained (may have the occasional accident), can sit, shake, will come to her name or a whistle but isn’t fantastic at stay. She does currently sleep inside which she prefers but has slept outside.
Rupie is dog friendly and would love a playmate. She has not been exposed to cats but seems okay with the neighbour rabbit. Unless chickens are penned probably not best for Rupie.
Rupie currently lives on a property but is starting to wander so does need fencing that is 5 ft or over.
Rupie is quite timid with new people and experiences (and loud noises) so may take a little to adjust to her new environment. She is not a nuisance barker but will let you know if someone is coming into the yard.
Since Rupie has lived on a property hasn’t been exposed to walking on lead so will not some training in this area.
Rupie would suit a family or active couple but not a home where everyone is out all day.
If you would like to meet Rupie to either foster care her or adopt please contact Sharron on 0423 331057 or email: sstudley3@bigpond.com She is located in Glenning Valley on the Central Coast and is available for adoption interstate.
Rupie’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
