Cartier

While his furrowed brow and low tail might tell you that Cartier is a little nervous making friends, this handsome boy is a real delight once he gets to know you.

Arriving at the shelter, Cartier found the many new smells, sounds and faces a bit overwhelming, but the staff could see there was a gentle and affectionate character behind his low head and sad eyes. With time, Cartier has shown us all his desire to explore and play, to meet new humans and demand lots of back scratches, and to find a caring new home in which to live out his days. Cartier's ideal new family will understand his need to take it slow; a patient and gentle approach will make Cartier feel safe and comfortable with his humans so he can take on adventures with a trusted guardian by his side. Cartier will need to meet everyone in the family (including other canines) before he can go home with you.

Daily adventures and walks, family time on the couch and in the backyard, and plenty of creative toys and enrichment are all this boy really needs. If you feel you can provide a quiet, steady environment for a placid pooch like Cartier, he would love to meet you at the shelter!
