About Max ~ Kelpie X (on trial 10/10/18)
Meet marvellous Max, a 3 year old Kelpie cross. Max is a friendly and energetic boy who loves being around people and other dogs. He is playful and enjoys running games, playing tug of war, the paddle pool and lives for pats and cuddles. Max already has some basic training and understands sit, come, stay and down. Being a Kelpie, Max loves getting out and about and would make a great running partner.
Max is currently living with 2 other dogs and gets on well with both. He walks well on a lead with other dogs and alone (he currently uses a harness). Max’s glossy black coat does shed and he will need regular brushing. He is untested with cats in close quarters but has not reacted to them on walks. Max spends most of the day outside, but loves time inside to relax and be with his human family. He will bark to alert you to people being around.
Max currently sleeps inside in a crate through the night and once lights are out doesn’t stir until the morning. Max has done well with his housetraining. He has lived with a family with young children and has a loving personality (people are likely to be licked all over), however as Max is a large boy he could easily knock a small child over. He would be best with a family without young children under 5.
Max has not shown any tendency to dig under or jump over fences, but will need secure fencing and gates with a minimum 5 feet. He has an excellent appetite and currently eats a combination of quality dry food and fresh mince. On his walks Max is always eager to make new friends – human and animal. He would love to live with a family prepared to give him plenty of exercise, cuddles and perhaps another doggy friend to keep him company. Max is a beautiful boy who deserves a loving forever home.
For more information or to meet Max, please contact his foster carer Lee-Anne on 0412588816
or burkeleeanne7@gmail.com Max is in foster care in Lake Munmorah, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Max adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
