JD may not be the most vocal or outgoing feline you see in the cattery, but he will certainly charm his way into your heart with his sweet and affectionate nature. Did we mention those big paws? They never stop kneading!
Arriving at the shelter with his brother Phoebo, JD found settling into the bustle of cattery life quite a struggle at first. While Phoebo strutted about with his fluffy tail held high, hiding under a blanket was more JD's style. The staff worked creatively and consistently to provide JD the safe and comfortable environment he needed to feel more confident. From little hello meows with just his nose poking out of the bedding, to enthusiastic head bunts and the making of many "puddings" with his ever-kneading feet, JD is now a staff favourite for cuddle time.
JD would make a wonderful companion for someone with a quiet lifestyle and gentle approach. He may need some time to settle into his new digs and get to know his forever human, but he will pay back your care and attention with happy purrs and plenty of sociable head bunts. He is also a charming character when it comes to other felines and could easily integrate with another cat at home. If you have room in your heart and home for a delightful fellow like JD, he would love to meet you here at the shelter.
