About Timmy ~ Border Collie x (on trial 30/6/2018)
Meet Timmy an 18 month old Border Collie X. Dear sweet Tim is so gentle and timid. He is ever so keen to please and would suit nearly any perfect scenario. Children, doggy company, couple, single owner or any mix.
Timmy is so easy to walk on a lead, just walks slowly beside you. He will sit, stay and drop on command but does have trouble coming when called. We think this is because he doesn’t recognise his new name. Nothing a little more training won’t fix.
Timmy is not a jumper and if he happens to put his paws on you it can hardly be felt. He is so soft and gentle making him ideal for young children. Children are not necessary though.
Timmy is also perfect for a single person or couple. The only stipulation being no full-time workers. As Timmy is only 18 months old he would need lots of quality time. He loves attention and affection and could not be left alone for hours on end. He would love nothing more than a fun filled day with his sole owner/s.
He gets on well with other dogs. Every dogs perfect home is to have doggy company but another dog not necessary.
After being rescued from the pound Timmy is a little on the thin side but he loves his food and it won’t be long before he is his correct weight. He really appreciates laying inside on a nice warm bed. He currently sleeps outside with another dog friend but if he was to be an only pet he would prefer to sleep inside with a doggy door. As he is so timid he may be scared alone outside and come on, who wouldn’t be.
This perfect dog will go quickly so if you are interested please call Michelle on 0423262133. Timmy is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Timmy’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
