About Bison
Bison is ready to find his forever home!
Bison has had a rough go at life and came into care with a compound fracture on his front right leg that had been left untreated for 10 days.
That means for 10 days he had his bone sticking out of his skin while the tissue rotted and decayed. He would have been in so much pain but despite everything he had been through he never stopped loving and was always friendly and happy.
Over 2 months later he is now all healed and we even managed to save his leg.
He is such a sweetie and just spends his days chilling on the bed or snoozing in the office behind his carer as she works. He loves children of all ages and sizes and his always gentle with them.
He would prefer a quieter life, one spent inside with his family with lots of tummy rubs and snoozing on the couch.
Bison is also dog friendly and has gotten along with dogs of all ages and sizes.
Bison is a 6 year old Maltese X Shih Zu and has had all his vet work completed except for his last leg X-ray booked later in the week.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
