About Archibald (CaV18-155)
Hey you! Yes, you young whipper-snapper over there. Stop running. Put that skateboard down. Come and sit down and pat me instead.
I’m a mature gent, set in my ways one might say. I am a very affectionate and friendly chap but I’m not demanding. I’ll have my space and you can have yours. I’m a fan of the football, the news, the weather, romantic comedies… anything that’s on the telly, I’ll watch with you. Or we can spend the evenings together while you read a good book and sip some nice wine…. Have I painted the picture for you?
I’m looking for a home where it’s just me and you, with no other pesky animals getting in the way. Other cats and dogs just don’t float my boat. Young kids aren’t up my alley either with all the video games they play these days, their running around and shouting and so on. No a calm and mature household is what I’m looking for in my golden years.
My health is good for a mature chap. You need to know that in my younger years I was a bit of a man-about-town and as a result I found myself with this condition called FIV. It’s not affecting me at all at the moment and you can ask that young lady over there to tell you more about it. I don’t think you should let it stop you adopting me though.
I’ll need to be kept indoors in my new home – mainly because of my FIV and also my pale colouring (prone to skin cancer I am and I’m not at a stage in my life where I want vets poking and prodding me all day long) but also because if there are any other cats in the neighbourhood I’ll give them what-for! Which might not be such a good idea if they’re a lot younger than me and I don’t want to end up getting beaten up.
So if you’re looking for a lazy couch mate then I’m your fellow. I’m also available to adopt for an donation of your choosing.
Medical notes
I am FIV positive. You can learn more about FIV here:

Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
