About Dizzy
Dizzy is a special little girl that requires a special home.
She started her life on a building site where danger was rife.
We’re not 100% sure about what has happened to Diz, but what we do know is that her circumstances prior coming into care means:
- she is almost completely deaf
- she has depth of perception loss in her eyes
- she has tracheal damage
- she has a neurological disorder
All of these, we think (in conjunction with our vet) may have been a result of being stuck or crushed under heavy building materials. She has undertaken blood tests, urine tests and scans - and there is no evidence of disease or illness. Simply trauma.
So what does this mean for Dizzy? Well, in her mind - not a whole lot! Dizzy lives a full and wholesome life. None of her ailments bother her - nor does she realise she has them :)
What does this mean for you, as a potential adopter? It just means you need to have an extra big heart. You’re not going to have a cat that is elegant, responsive to your voice or has a typical meow ;)
With introductions and some time, Dizzy is fine with other cats and with dogs. She would thrive as an only meow but would also settle into pack life nicely.
Dizzy is a super sweetheart with a personality that makes you melt with love and burst with laughter all at once. She wobbles when she drinks, her meow is crackly, her head tilts mean business and her smooch style is akin to that of an awkward interaction with your third grade crush.
She is learning life every single day. And she just needs a family to share that with...
... Could that be you?
Medical notes
As mentioned above, Dizzy has the following:
- almost completely deaf
- depth of perception loss in her eyes
- tracheal damage
- neurological disorder
None of these interfere with her day to day life, nor do they attract medication or additional health care requirements. Just means you have to be an extra special and patient person :)
