About Chilli
At least with this little girl we can understand how she hasn’t been immediately snapped up and is still around for Wee-cat Recap.
Darling Chilli is stunning, there’s no denying that. I’m not sure you’ll see a prettier little kitten today...or maybe even all week.
But she’s a challenge and requires extra special cat people to see through the hissy fear, beyond the distaste for pats and towards what could be.
This little lady must have been through so much in her tiny life to have made her so very scared. But, our Team Mini love is starting to chip away at her walls and showing her what could be. That we’re not all bad. That fear isn’t necessary anymore.
She has found her purr. And what a purr! And she even reckons that it’s safe to eat from her foster mums fingers. But if you go to pat her you’ll soon regret it.
She’s a little fireball when she wants to be. Most of the time she uses that energy for play. She’s becoming a kitten. Play is great and she could do it all day. Beds are awesome and often her stage for unleashing her rumbly roar. This safety and consistent food thing is more than ok. But hands are to stay well away from her...for now at least.
We will keep chipping away at her strong little walls until someone steps up to take over the task. Someone who is patient and kind, understanding and gentle. Probably someone without young children (as the temptation to cuddle that little face may just prove too much for youngsters who don’t quite understand the consequences).
We know that special someone is out there. And until then we chip, chip, chip at that wall. We’ve come this far and we’re not likely to stop until the job is done.
Darling Chilli. You are safe. You are fed. You are loved. And you will always be so from this day forward.
