About Louie ~ Maltese X (on trial 30/6/2018)
Louie is an 8 year old Maltese X. He is a very quiet boy, in the time he has been in foster care, he is yet to bark, Louie just loves to be with you all the time, enjoying belly rubs.
Louie would suit someone home mostly and would love being an only dog. Louie does get on well with other dogs, with occasional signs of jealousy. Louie hasn’t been tested with cats or pockets pets.
Louie loves his food, so will benefit from regular walks He is house trained with a doggy door, but on those wet or cold days he may need an escort to take him outside for encouragement and company.
Louie will require secure fencing, a requirement with any Dog Rescue Newcastle adoption, but he is not likely to dig, jump or climb the fencing. Louie is looking for a loving heart, a soft hand, a warm bed to share and has an abundance of love to give.
For more information or to meet Louise, please contact his foster carer Carolyn on 0403 653 001. Louise is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Louie’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
