About Garry
Garry is a teddy bear. A sweet older gentleman who is looking for a retirement home to cuddle up in.
He has shown to be social with other dogs and is in foster care with a variety of others; but anxious and selective dogs seem to not be the best fit and make him quite nervous and unsure.
He isn't really looking for a play mate but more of a stable companion or a home as an only dog.
He has met chickens in a coop, cats, horses and also young kids and is fantastic and gentle with all.
He would make a fabulous family dog. Garry has shown that he probably hasn't had much outside interaction in his life and therefore needs to find a home that understands that he needs some continued training to be the best dog for a home. With this, he is best suited to a home that is confident with providing the time and energy to help him understand loose leash walking as he can be very strong when he wants to go somewhere.
With a confident and capable owner he will honestly transform into a very well adjusted dog, he just needs a bit of guidance and time.
A daily exercise routine and inside time with the family is what he craves. He just loves people.
He hasn't shown any escaping tendancies and would suit either rural or suburban living.
Fencing over 5ft would be suitable for him, or rural fencing
Garry must be allowed inside in his new home to be a true part of the family. He would also like a good diet, a good exercise regime and some daily joint formula to make sure his joints are doing okay.
Garry is located on the Central Coast and his adoption fee is $400.

If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
