About Phil (deaf)
My name is Phil and I am part of the 'Modern Family' Litter. We came into care under the 'Last Litter' program, meaning mum gets desexed and no more puppies!
I am a special little guy looking for a special home. You see, I am deaf, but I don't let that get in the way of me living my life. I am fun, loving and very cheeky and happy. I have already learnt how to sit for my dinner and wait like a good little boy.
I love to play and run around and chase my foster siblings. They are doing a really wonderful job in teaching me how to be a 'good boy' and play gently because sometimes I can be a little bit silly. I am only a puppy though so I have lots to learn and lots of growing to do!
I love having company and just love spending time with the other dogs I live with. More than that though, I love to be with my foster humans. I love cuddles and kisses and give really great kisses in return. I have excellent puppy breath!
I sleep inside at night without any accidents and spend my days outside. I love to play with balls and chew toys.
My new family will need to do their research so they understand what is involved with loving me to ensure I get the best possible start at life.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
