Carys lives true to her name, “love”. There aren’t enough words to describe how beautiful this girl is. Carys is incredibly gentle, affectionate, intelligent and adores her humans.
At 13 months of age and through no fault of her own Carys has found herself in foster care. Carys came to us as a boxer x heeler but I believe her to be a boxer x ridgeback, either way she is a beauty. On one of her walks we met a man that used to breed ridgebacks, he said she definitely has this in her, he also said she has a beautiful temperament, which they are known for.
Carys is quick to learn and is fascinated with her new world. She loves her toys and playtime is great fun. She has learnt to sit, drop, shake hands and is learning to wait. Carys is walking really well on a lead. She hasn’t shown much interest towards other dogs on her walks and loves to greet everyone she meets. I think in her early days someone has spent time with her training, given her speed at learning.
In Carys’s new home she must be an inside dog and included as part of the family, with a yard she has room to run in and walked daily as she thrives on routine and loves her walks. She loves the ladies and is quickly learning that blokes with a gentle and caring approach are ok as well. She has met young children and was patient and gentle with them but I am unsure about a home with them as she is still young and sometimes unaware of her size. If you work from home or part time or if you could take her to work with you, that would be her heaven. She is inquisitive with cats (the neighbors cat sits on the roof peering down) so no cats or pocket pets and given her devotion to her humans she needs to be an only dog.
Carys is taking short trips in the car and is doing really well, as long as she feels confident she will soon be the perfect travelling companion. Given her intelligence she would certainly benefit from further training.
Carys is toilet trained, can use a doggie door, is desexed, microchipped and fully vet worked.
If you are looking for a devoted partner for life who will give you nothing but love and adoration, then Carys is your girl, while with me her pure joy (she actually chats to me) at discovering new things is heart warming.
It’s now time to find her a forever family so that she can begin her journey on the life she truly deserves, she will make her new family so incredibly happy.
If you could be Carys’ forever family please submit your application via the link.
