About Boof/ernie
Meet handsome Ernie! What a story Ernie has, this guy has come such a long way and we couldn't be happier for him. When Ernie first came into our care he had a severe skin disease that was making him very uncomfortable. On top of that Ernie also hadn't been introduced to much in his life and was struggling with all the new experiences in the shelter. After months of medical and behavioural rehabilitation with us Ernie is finally ready for his new life. Due to Ernie's past he still struggles with some things that his new family will need to continue working on. He needs a family that will positively reinforce his calm behaviour and practice basic manners. Ernie is best suited to being the only dog in the home, he enjoys human company much more than other dogs. This also means that he is not be taken to dog parks, busy dog beaches for the time being. Ernie will need a dedicated family that will help him work through his worries and encourage him to be the best canine citizen he can be. Once Ernie is settled into his new home, you will see his true personality shine and his quirky behaviour come through. He will be a great friend to cuddle up on the couch with on cold nights, or even be happy just sitting and watching his new family at home. To help with Ernie's skin he is required to be on special diet that will most likely be for the rest of his life. All Ernie really wants in life is to be included as part of a family. If you think you can provide that for this wonderful dog and are experienced owners then please come and meet him today or contact us on 92099323.
