Generally.
Maggie and Rusty do everything together and are always in each others company - they even share the same bed.

They are friendly, patient and always happy to see you. They enjoy a good snuggle and are adaptable - having lived in a few homes with their family. They are also pretty quiet.

They jump up when excited and Rusty can be a little stubborn at times.

Maggie and Rusty are happy to sleep and relax most of the time. However, they enjoy exploring the backyard every now and then - smelling different things, looking for bugs and sun baking.

Maggie is more adventurous and independent than Rusty who more happy to explore.

Rusty likes to snuggle a little more.

Ideal home.
Maggie and Rusty will thrive in a home where they are welcome to be involved with family activities. They need someone home more often than not like a stay at home parent or active retirees. They will be fine around considerate, older kids but the dogs do jump up when excited. They need a medium to large secure interesting yard.

The dogs will not suit homes where residents are very young, frail, elderly, time poor, renters or with full time workers who work away from home.

Yes.

Cats?
No.

Kids?
Yes however, we recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if gentle and calm around dogs.

Size.
8kgs & 7kgs

Exercise requirements?
Low - short strolls or playtime at home. They need to be walked together and love to stop and sniff.

How are these dogs on a lead?
Maggie tends to pull while Rusty starts off pulling he settles.

How are these dogs off the lead?
The dogs' recall is good but not consistent especially if distracted. Treats help. One tends to egg the other on.

Escape artist?
They need a secure yard with shoulder height fencing that goes right into the ground. Both also tend to dart through open doors or gates in order to greet visitors.

Nuisance barker?
They will alert you to something strange but are not currently nuisance barkers. Rusty will bark if left outside for long periods of time.

Destructive?
No. But as you would expect, if you ignore them they may dig a little out for boredom.

Toilet trained?
Yes

Tolerance to being alone.
Yes as long as they have each other.

Likes.
Maggie likes: Pats, curling up on your lap, seeing what you're up to, going on walks, curling up on our bed, laying in the sun, and 'play fighting' with her brother Rusty.

Rusty likes: Food, curling up on your lap, curling up on our bed, very close pats (a bit like a cat), being warm in a snuggly bed and lying in the sun.

Dislikes.
Maggies dislikes: Being without Rusty
Rusty dislikes: Being cold, open fires.
