About Arlo ~ Cattle Dog x (on trial 26/6/2018)
If you are looking for a furry new family member, look no further this little guy! Arlo is a 7 month old Cattle Dog x who loves a good snuggle and scratch behind the ears!
Arlo has a gentle nature and is very well behaved. He is good on the lead, in the car and sits and waits on command. He is a quick learner who is now toilet trained and can use the doggy door. When he sees new people he gets excited and jumps up a little bit, but he is learning to stay down.
Arlo loves to play fetch in the backyard, and go for walks most days. He also loves to curl up on your lap while watching TV and play with his other doggy friends. Arlo has been friendly to all other dogs he has met so far, despite a little bark upon greeting them.
Arlo would suit an active couple or family who would take him out for regular socialisation or plays. He is currently happy having a doggy pal, but would be ok as an only dog due to loving all the attention. Arlo currently sleeps inside, and is indoors when his humans are home. During the day he spends most of his time out in the yard playing with his toys.
For more information or to meet Arlo, please contact his foster carer Sarah on Sarah.lennard@uon.edu.au or 0435 284 223. Arlo is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Arlo’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
