About Marley ~ Border Collie (on trial 24-/6/2018)
Marley is a beautiful 1 year old female Border Collie who is loving and loyal. She loves a good belly rub and is very affectionate.
Marley has basic training and has shown to be a quick learner and will sit, drop, wait for her food and go to her bed when asked. She is an inside/outside dog but loves her time inside the most. She will bark if she is surprised by something outside.
Marley loves her walks but more than anything she loves to chase a ball, stick or toy. She is very good at fetch! She also travels well in the car.
As Marley is a long-haired breed, she will need regular brushing and grooming to keep her coat nice.
Marley would prefer to live with another dog. She currently lives happily alongside a large male dog who she likes to play tug-o-war with. Marley is not suited to living with smaller dogs. She has so far shown to display no real interest in calm cats, rabbits in a hutch or the local sheep and ponies who we visit on our walks.
Marley is a beautiful girl with so much love to give. As Marley does jump, she would be better suited to an active family with older children or someone who is home a lot and can provide Marley with plenty of exercise and play time. A large yard with secure fences would be best for her. Someone experienced with the Border Collie breed would be preferred.
For more information or to meet Marley, please contact her foster carer Emily on em_516@hotmail.com Marley is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Marley’s adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
