About Brett
What can we say about Bretty Boy...Oh so much!!
He's an 8.5 month old Male Kelpie x Catahoula.
His foster Ma and Pa think he's just the sweetest little man ever.
Brett has a unique and wonderful personality.
Being that Brett is a working breed, he needs plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and good clear boundaries, when he is given this, he absolutely shines (however he is not suited to being a worker).
As a Kelpie x, he needs to be with someone who understands his needs. And while he loves running (as Kelpies do) he loves being with his humans just as much.
He thrives in an environment where he is very much a part of the family and will not be left without his humans for long periods of time.
Brett would best suit someone looking for a loyal and loving companion who also likes to get outdoors and get some exercise too.
He would also need to be with another doggy friend for company and play time.
He currently lives with his litter Sister and foster Sister an Irish Wolfhound x. They love to walk together, play and snooze.
He also has a fluffy kitty friend that he likes to follow around to see what he's up to.
His foster Ma works primarily from home and he loves to curl up at her feet and "assist" while she works. He loves going for a car ride with his foster Pa to hang out, sometimes he even gets to go to a job site and absolutely loves it.
He walks extremely well on lead.
Completely toilet trained (he lets you know when he needs to go).
Brett does have some seperation anxiety (this is currently being worked on and going well).
As he is still quite a puppy in personality, he would be best suited to a family with older children to play with or an energetic person with lots of love to give.
Brett is a stunningly beautiful, amazing natured clever boy who just loves everyone and everything he sees.
Brett is located in Merrimac, QLD.

Adoption details
ADOPTION:
To meet, adopt or find out more details on this animal, please fill in our adoption application at our website- http://www.safehavenanimalrescueinc.com
Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW
