First meet and greet with this perfect pooch will absolutely melt your heart, you simply won’t be able to resist making him a permanent family member.
From the first day we met him, his been super relaxed. He came to us with his sister Shelley at just 8 weeks old. They loved to snooze together, steal each others food and wrestle in the backyard.
Sailor is a clever boy who has quickly learnt to respond to his name, sit, come, and occasionally give us a cheeky high five!
His been well handled by adults and children alike, including a 7 year old boy who often feels the need to pick him up for a cuddle!
Sailor is home solo during the day and seems to cope fine as long as his got some toys and the odd bone or pigs ear.
Medical notes
Sailor came into care as an 8 week old puppy with a ‘limp’ our vet recommend x-rays and it was found that Sailor’s last 4 vertebras hadn’t developed properly. The vet advised us to wait 4 weeks to see if this would develop on its own.
We are happy to report that Sailor’s vertebras have now formed properly and he is now ready for adoption. He had another x-ray to confirm everything is now growing well. He is a normal healthy pup and this should not cause any future issues for him.
Sailor has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ 2 x Vaccinations (C3 & C5)
~ Microchipped
~ All-Wormed
~ Flea Treated
Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
