About Daisy Duke
***ready for adoption***
Daisy Duke
Great Dane x
2yo
*cat friendly!
Our Gentle giant is coming out of her shell now and is loving the world once again!
Daisy came into CARMAR care scared of everything and would just cower in the corner and not engage with anyone...
But what a transformation a few weeks of love, care and patience can do to a girl like our Daisy!
Since setting her a safe secure foster home and routine, She is happy, healthy, engaging with all who meet her, loves going on her walks on lead and loves a gentle run with all the dogs, large and tiny! at the off leash oval.
Daisy still shies away from sudden noises or things she doesn't know or understand and will cling to your side for lots of reasurance, which can trip you up if your not ready for her now healthy 40kg weight!!
Daisy has been introduced to her carer's foster kittens and she was very wary and a little scared of them at first, but now she's fine with them although she always lets them eat first!
We are continuing her daily training and Daisy has good recall and will sit on command, sleeps on her mat in the loungeroom at night and is almost fully housetrained!
Not bad for a skinny, scared, untrained, shutdown gentle giant that first came into CARMAR care a few weeks ago!
If you think you have what it takes to give this girl the continued love, care and patience she needs and deserves for the rest of her life please fill in an EOI (expression of Interest)
Daisy is in foster care in Echuca , which is 3 hours north of Melbourne.
All CARMAR canines are fostered in private homes, so are used to the comings and goings ,noises ,smells and environments of a normal household. They are all temperament tested, recieve basic training, are desexed, michrochipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea free.
If you are interested in any of our companion animals, CARMAR require a completed Expression of Interest form (EOI)which can be downloaded from our web page at
