About Kelvin ~ Kelpie x (on trial 23/6/2018)
Meet Kelvin! Kelvin is a handsome 8 month old male Kelpie pup. He hitched a ride with us from a rural pound as his concrete pen wasn’t an ideal bedroom or very comfortable. He has told us that he is constantly dreaming and praying that he would be lucky enough to have a warm, comfy bed and loving family to call his own. We would love to make his dreams come true.
Kelvin is a lovely little pup, still a little timid and jumpy but very trainable and clever. He is a working breed, so will be an active dog and will require training and exercise to avoid him becoming bored and destructive. Kelvin would be fine with another dog, provided they like each other. Because Kelvin is a pup it’s important that he will become an individual member of the family and not just a friend for your current dog, if you are planning to add to your brood.
Kelvin would make a great dog around kids, but if you do have little ones, just be mindful of his jumpiness ‘til he learns the correct behaviours.
Kelvin will grow to be a medium sized dog and will need a safe and secure yard. If you were to allow Kelvin inside he will need lessons in gaining his toilet manners.
If you would love to open your heart and home to Kelvin, contact John via email on johnpgid@yahoo.com.au Kelvin is in foster care in Medowie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Kelvin’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
