About Smudge
Sweet little Smudge is a gorgeous little black and white domestic short hair kitten, who will turn 8 wees old this Saturday, 9th June. He came from a gorgeous litter of stray kittens who were found near the Ikea at Rhodes. They were rescued and brought into our clinic. We vaccinated and microchipped them and they have flourished in foster care for the last two weeks.
Smudge has a lovely gentle personality. He is the smallest of the bunch and the only smooth-haired kitten. He is a little shy of new people to start with but once he knows you, he will quickly clamber onto your lap for a cuddle, he absolutely loves being on your lap. He really loves to play and enjoys wrestling with his litter mates and chasing her toys around. He is the maternal one of the crew who loves to groom his siblings and make sure everyone else is happy. He has a sweet nature and will always step back to let his brother and sisters tuck into dinner first.
Smudge is very social with his litter mates and his foster carer's adult cats, so he loves the company of other cats. He would also be suitable for living with gentle children who understand how to play nicely with cats! He is a bit nervous when you first pick him up but with gentle whispers of reassurance and a scratch under the chin he calms and happily falls asleep in your arms :)
Smudge will be ready for desexing at 12 weeks of age, and must be brought back to the clinic to have this done. This is of course included in his adoption fee. He will be available to adopt from The clinic from Tuesday 12th June.
Please ready the details below carefully for the conditions of Smudge's adoption :)
Medical notes
Smudge will require monthly flea prevention and 3 monthly worm prevention treatments. He will require an annual F3 vaccination.
Adoption details
Please contact the clinic and ask to speak with Rosie, our receptionist and cat adoption officer.
All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Part of our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. Part of that means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting illness or viruses etc. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families, safe from harm :)
