About Poppy
Poppy here,
I am a bit more quiet natured than my silly siblings, I am kind and well reserved; not timid in nature. I just like to watch from the sidelines and get a good feel of what to expect.
I have shown my foster mum that I wait nice and patiently for things; be it cuddles, food or even just being moved around the house.
A little less chaotic home may suit my personality well, someone looking for a companion for their kid maybe or their older dog. I could suit either, really I could suit a range of homes.
My mum is a beautiful cattle dog x kelpie x wolfhound and is around 20 kilos in size, but my dad was unknown. We don't quite know how big we are going to be when fully grown, but maybe expect between medium to large in size and you can't be disappointed with that.
We will need to be allowed inside the home at night, so we can find the comfort of indoors and be truly a part of the family. A life long commitment is essential for my new home, one that is confident to help me through all my phases in life; especially my canine and wide world socialisation and interaction, continued training to make me a very good canine citizen.
Puppy school is a great way for me to learn some basic obedience, receive some puppy training advice and I even get to play with dogs around the same age as myself!
Being so young, I would easily adapt to a home with another dog, cats, other animals, young kids and also full time / part time working homes. And my new home needs to have safe and secure fencing, of at least 5ft or over in height and free from any gaps and holes. I may even suit the fresh rural aired living and rural fencing, but of course commitment to the correct boundaries and training for this is essential.
My adoption fee is $500 which will include my microchip, first two puppy vaccinations, regular and up to date worming and also my desexing. I am located in the Newcastle area NSW with the rest of my siblings and my momma Dolly and I am ready to go to my new home as of 10 weeks old.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
