About Zeus
Zeus is just something else.
A darling boy who has just swooned his foster family as much as possible.
This beautiful soul is looking for a very special loving and cuddly home, one that allows him inside with them as he loves to cuddle up on a nice comfortable doggie bed and be around your feet when you're around the house. He just loves the attention and comfort of knowing he is warm and cosy.
He has shown to have great toilet training whilst in care and hasn't shown a destructive side at all, but he does love to lick kitty food cans when he has access (cheeky boy of course he is).
Zeus would do well in a home with another dog as we don’t think he would cope too well alone. Although he does love his humans.
A family that is looking for a dog to be atrue part of the household and is interactive with him would suit him best.
He has shown to be good with both male and female dogs of all sizes and has also tested well with small young puppies.
Zeus is currently in foster care with a few felines as well and is cuddly and social with these so would do fine in a home with cats.
He isn't suitable to a home with birds, poultry or pocket pets though as these are a little too interesting for him.
Zeus is best suited to teenage aged kids or ones over the age of 12. He is a nervous fella and tends to get a little overwhelmed with a loud household also.
Zeus is crate trained and will take himself off to bed but prefers that the crate door is left open as he does sometimes get a little unsure about being confined. He will need safe and secure fencing, free from gaps and holes and at least 5ft in height. He might suit rural fencing if the time and training was placed behind it, but we would suggest its full wired if the home is rural based.
He isn't high energy and would do well in a home that wants to exercise him daily, he may even suit the dog park as he hasn't shown an inch of issue with other dogs at all, or maybe even the dog beach.
His recall is moderately good, as well as his basic obedience and he is excelling well in the loose leash walking department. Of course his mastering of these skills will need to be refined in his new home.
Zeus is located in Rutherford and is ready to go to his new home now. His adoption fee is $350.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
