About Gus DL1945
Gus is a beautiful, loving boy who loves being around his humans and will follow wherever you go.
No-one told Gus that he's too big to be a lap dog - he loves to get as close to you as he can! He loves being indoors with you and will happily lay on his bed when you're still. He will come up to you for a cuddle when he feels like it, but also enjoys his own space & will let you know when he doesn’t like something.
Gus is an incredibly smart boy who already knows a few of his basic commands like sit, stay, lay down and drop. He is eager to learn with the persuasion of treats and is very close to perfecting giving his paw. He will stay while you put his food down and wait until you give him the ok to eat, he also knows that he is not allowed in the kitchen and will wait patiently at the edge for you to come back out.
Gus loves to get out for a couple of walks a day. He gets a little bit excited at first but soon settles and is learning not to pull on the lead - Practice makes perfect! He will sit at the corners and wait until you say ok to cross the road. Gus is toilet trained and will always go outside, he will bang at the door to let you know he needs to go out. Gus is good with cats. and needs further practice being social with other dogs.
Gus loves running around the backyard chasing a tennis or soccer ball which he will fetch and bring back to you if you say drop. He also loves playing under the hose and his favourite game is tug of war, which he likes to do inside and out. Even if you aren't playing with him, he will throw it around himself and is very clever with his paws at holding his toy.
Gus has no problem spending time in the yard while you're at work for the day. He enjoys sitting at the back door and just looking out into the yard keeping an eye on what’s going on. He will often let you know he wants to go outside when you are home just so he can do that. He is quite nosey too and you will often catch him looking out the front window through the curtains to see what’s happening out there.
If you have the perfect home for a lovable lump like Gus, please email us today to apply!
