Acapella

Meet Acapella. She is a beautiful sweetheart of a dog who is very cuddly. She loves her people and is very loyal and affectionate. If you’re going to give her a pat and a tummy rub then you will definitely be on her friend list! She can often be found curled up on the lounge with her foster carer in the evenings watching tv and napping. Being by your side hanging out with you makes her very happy and she’ll give you lots of kisses to show you this! Acapella loves to play with toys, including chasing the ball, and is always up for a good game of tug of war. She truly has a wonderful personality and temperament.

During her time in care, Acapella has met a range of dogs. She has lived with different dogs and enjoys their company and having a play. Although she has come from a background of limited socialisation, Acapella is getting up to speed quickly. She is now enjoying daily trips to the off lead dog park where she says hi to all the other dogs. Running around the park, chasing a ball and stretching her legs out is lots of fun for her. Acapella is on the larger side of medium at around 21kg and is a reasonably active dog who will require daily walks or runs to keep her healthy and happy throughout her life. She also loves to go bush walking so if your looking for a hiking partner then look no further!

This girl has the smarts for sure. She is intelligent, very responsive and food motivated which makes her a pleasure to train. Her carer has been taking her to dog training classes weekly and she is progressing through the grades very well. She can sit, stay, drop, stand and is improving her heeling and longer stays. Acapella can be strong on the lead and jump about when another dog approaches as she really wants to go and greet everyone, but with a halti and firm leadership she walks well. It would be ideal if her new owners can continue her training. She is very well behaved in the house including being toilet trained, crate trained, and sleeping throughout the night on her bed, though she does love to be nearby you.

We are looking for an experienced home where Acapella would be a part of the family and included in daily activities. She will need a home where there is another dog for company and/or where someone is home most of the time to give her the attention she deserves. Acapella should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm bed inside to sleep on at night. She is not suitable for a home with pet birds as she loves to chase them at the park, cats or pocket pets. She would be better suited to a home with older or no children so she doesn’t accidently knock anyone over. If you are lucky enough to make this girl a part of your family then you are going to get a loving and loyal companion who will be a willing lounge and snuggle partner in crime.
