About Mya
All about me, my background and my unique personality:
Hi! My name is Mya and I am a stunning and sleek black snugglebug who is looking for a forever home of my very own, maybe it could be with you?
The details of my early life are unknown. I am super friendly and domesticated, so almost certainly had a family at some point. However, found myself living on the street at one point in time. A friendly lady was feeding me and when she noticed I was ‘in a way’, took me into a local vet so that I could be cared for properly as I had my babies. From there, I was lucky enough to be taken into care with Hunter Animal Rescue. It was just in the nick of time too, I had my beautiful bubbas the night before I was due to go to my foster home!
I am quite a laid back kitty. I like to follow my humans around the house (often asking for third, forth or fifth dinners – I quite like my food) and allow them to pick me up and give me bear hugs on a whim. At the same time, I’m also happy to entertain myself and chill out in front of a sunny window, when they have things to do. Still living with my kittens, I am very much aware of who is around and am likely a little more reserved than I will be when I go to my forever home, but as they get older, I’m letting myself more and more loose, and am truely joyful to be around. If you are looking for a fun and loving fluffy companion, look no further – I’m the girl for you!
My adoption fee is $150, for which I come litter trained, microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, vet checked, and treated for fleas and worms. In care, I have been respectful of the furniture, using the scratching posts provided, and have not been jumping up on benches. HAR offer a two week trial to ensure that My new family and I are the perfect match.
My kittens will be looking for their homes soon too. If you would like to adopt one of me with one of my kittens, just let my carer know. This would be a fairytale ending for me 🙂
My ideal home:
I’m an easy going lady who should be able to adapt to pretty much any home.
In line with HAR’s policy, my new family will need to commit to keeping me as a 100% indoor cat. This is for my safety and that of the local wildlife. I’ve spent my time on the streets, I’d like to lead a warm and sheltered life from here on in 🙂
How do I interact with kids, cats, dogs and other pets?:
I’m in care with a high energy, 6 month old kitten, and a low energy, 14 year old indoor Staffy, and I get along fine with all of them. At times, I want my own space and will give them a love tap to send them on their way, at other times, I am snuggling up to them and giving them kisses, or playing chases around the house with them both (much to my Carer’s delight). With thoughtful introduction and time, I should be right with other fluffies.
I don’t live with any children, but have some come to visit regularly and am fine. Little children will need to be taught to handle and interact with me properly, but I should be fine with human folk of pretty much any age.
